For the past 8 years I've been insuring my van with 2gether Insurance and the price was always roughly £250-275. This year the renewal went up to £400 so I did some shopping around. Most companies quoted similar prices, but then I went to Motorhome Protect who suggested I go for a Classic policy rather than a Motorhome policy. The main difference is that there is less contents cover, but I tend not to have much of value in the van anyway.
Total cost for 5000 miles with the van as a 2nd vehicle, including commuting cover was £122! Can't fault it!

According to an old post, it's a 1996.
That's a great price for insurance!

Allans now closed. In Plymouth, use PGS (Plymouth Garage Services) or Mayflower Auto Services

It certainly is an extremely good price when most policies have sky rocketed, I can see this company being inundated with new customers.

It sounds like you made a great decision by switching to Motorhome Protect, especially with such a significant savings. The Classic policy seems to suit your needs perfectly, especially since you don't carry much valuable content in the van. With a total cost of £122 for 5000 miles and commuting cover, it's a fantastic deal.Jimbo1982 wrote: Mon Mar 11, 2024 2:25 pm For the past 8 years I've been insuring my van with 2gether Insurance and the price was always roughly £250-275.
