Climate Control - fix.

Post by BongoAlf » Tue Mar 18, 2025 1:27 pm

I Managed to get my climate control fans to finally work this weekend.

The system was totally shot, I replaced the Fan as it was totally rusted out, one relay, a useless earth connection and the transistor that sits inside the little module on top of the intakes.

I can't imagine how much this would have cost had I sent it into be repaired, the forum posts and the wiring diags helped sort this out for me, so thanks to everyone who takes the time to post, it really makes a difference.

All the best.

Hi Bongolian,

No it's the big one that sits in under the bonnet.

It's expertly placed to fill with water and rust up, I think that may have been what damaged some of the other electrical elements of the solution.

While replacing this I took the advice to open up the drain hole to aid it purging any water that got in it.

Finally I can demist on cold days and blow cold air in on hot days, there sure is a lot of glass up front and it doesn't take much sunshine to turn the cab into a sauna.
