rear door locks

Post by mancunian » Wed Mar 07, 2007 7:23 pm

Having just read the rear wash wipe woes, I noticed a remark about the rear door/tail gate being a part of the remote locking system. Is this correct as mine only locks when I put the key in to the rear door. I do have a pliper for the rest of the doors. In fact I have two plipers, but only one works, any thoughts on this problem would be helpful. Yes the battery does work, I swapped it with the working pliper which continued to work.

There was a recent thread where Brorabongo found it was a simple fault in the boot lock actuator. He said:
JOB DONE Dancing

All that was wrong was the Actuator had come away from the door, as the nut must of worked loose over the years. Replaced nut and now back in action.

easy job apart from getting some if that black gunk/sealant on me Evil or Very Mad and wrecked some of the black pegs/fittings to secure the panel.
Thread was called 'Central locking (Tailgate)' and should be at:

If I've managed to paste in the link correctly

Good luck
