Sounds like a good meet up
Thx for organising
Rob,
Unfortunately my bongo hasn't been feeling well.(still trying to fix)..and although some times you can drive down the M5 at 25mph MAX..I didn't want to risk it!
...........................
took my camera with spare batteries and found I left the sd card in the laptop at home
I've done that one a few times
the other is take one photo...and then get a flat battery

Re: Somerset / westcountry meet up 10th September
really, really upset ..
it was bad enough not being able to join you all, but Roy was not well enough to make the trip... and to add insult to injury, the site would not refund any of our money!! We had paid the full amount well in advance, but when he rang earlier in the week to cancel, he was told we wouldn't get a penny back.
Now I happen to think that's especially mean - would have expected them to keep a deposit - but the whole £46.50?
And it wasn't as if they had a particularly lean weekend in terms of takings.
I guess this should serve as a cautionary tale - don't pay the full amount when booking.
Anyhoo - looking forward to Thursday. Looks like I might have to make the trip solo though...
See you all

A few Pics
We saw the sun for a bit

not long before the rain came down.
We made it to the day meet and it was nice to meet new peeps.

We camped at the Channel View Campsite. Due to us having a tent as we were moved to the bottom of the field in a sheltered corner... Our camper was all alone.. I'm sure the others were pleased about that as we were the only ones with kids (4 of them!
)

Baz stuck to the tea

The Umbongo Clan minus the eldest daughter.

On Sunday we made our way to Banwell Caves. They're open only 4 days of the year to visitors.

A summer house made out of tiny little stones.. very pretty

Thanks WestonWarrior for organising the meet and hopefully, we'll see you all again soon

Disappointed not to make it, life, as usual, brings up other commitments. Seemed like it went well though
