				My no.1 manifold stud had sheard so I got a new set of Mazda ones from Bell Hill and replaced all eight at a cost of £95 inc labour

				Well, 120 GBP and my Bongo is back in action, practically a fairy tale ending.  Now I'm getting suited-up for a trip to the Skye music festival.  I hope to see some of Bongonese people up there.

				amaxing, now its a cheap bongo [a steal ] a few posts ago its trading standards etc, its strange how it all turns around , yes im a trader thats the reason i have packed it in, even if you sell cars cheap you cant win ?

The fault was one that a trader would probably have fixed if only to avoid the hassle! The silicone was a hopeless attempt at a repair but, looking kindly at them,  they did try to fix it so perhaps they thought they had fulfilled their part of the deal. As others have said it is a common problem and as you now have it fixed may you enjoy your Skye weekend in your Bongo, you do realise it is the weekend of the Peebles Bongo Bash
