I think I have a sticky one, took ages to open the other day when I was idling on the drive, the bottom rad hose was still cold but got hot after about 1/2 hour!!

Just cured the leaks I had, took it down the road and got it to operating teperature, bottom hose still cold when I got back.

New one going in tommorrow. £14. I'd rather run without one than have the thing not open up at all...

New stat in courtesy of Allan - top bloke - and BIG difference in temp gauge and over-all running temp. So hopefully this is the end for the time being on temp issues what with new rad, couple of hoses and new thermostat...just in time for the baking hot summer we are having too
