I think I have a sticky one, took ages to open the other day when I was idling on the drive, the bottom rad hose was still cold but got hot after about 1/2 hour!!
Just cured the leaks I had, took it down the road and got it to operating teperature, bottom hose still cold when I got back.
New one going in tommorrow. £14. I'd rather run without one than have the thing not open up at all...
