Last year we all met at the Sands Hotel near Pontins at around 8 am  i suggest we do the same as we ended up with the best spots for the airshow on the fairground car park.

Sands public house, post code PR8 2QD for your sat nav
Ainsdale beach, near the Pontins holiday camp.

Hi we paid on the web for our tickets last year, total waste of money as you could see all the action from the carpark. We did take a walk onto the beach, mostly army and marines and such setting up displays. Most things for smaller children. Count us in again Dave, see you all at Sands Hotel. Trish

Hi all, re; the £8 beach charge :!: :!: :!: do they charge more this weekend because of the air show :?: :?: :?: as I am often on the Ainsdale Beach by " the Sands " and its usualy £3.50 per vehicle. Colin

We'll (or at least I'll*) be there. Can't make 8 am but, after PM exchange with daveblue ozzie, understand it's still worthwhile going to the fairground car park any time later in the morning.

*(Mrs M's attendance dependent on weekend family visitors leaving us at a reasonable time that morning, as planned. If not, I've agreed to leave her to continue playing hostess.)
