It is the Marine lake for now but it wont be for long, its being turned into shopping center ive been told , beats me with all that spare land along to the left (facing the river)

A week too early for me. So the Marine Lake is no more and Fort Perch Rock is being hidden behind a giant shopping center, is there anything left of the New Brighton that I used to know as a kid.

Hi NW Crew my parents came down to see us from Tarporley and deliver pressies from family in Cheshire and my dad has informed me that The Red Lion at Eaton village has closed it's doors to customers and is up for sale, so sorry to be the messenger on this but just incase you have plans that may include this pub, sad state of the pub in this country just seems to get more dire by the day, wake up Gord and leave our pubs alone

Getting back on thread!!

Anyone else fancy a really good soaking.............errr sampling some New Year sunshine at New Brighton before the shopping centre goes up and the marine lake disappears in very early January

One thing that is good about New Brighton is the amount of car parking available, the Fort car park is closest to what attractions are left in existence and it also gives a good backdrop for some smashing Bongo piccies
