As for pipes....... I have a Chanter, which I can just about play the scales, and if by some miracle I make it down, I'll take it with me.

What were the great mans words?.....'All the right notes, but not nescisarily in the right order'.....I would be lucky to even get the notes

If you do make it you and Stevie can share a far corner of the field, to keep the noise all in the one place

Perhaps the corner of the field just outside Stranraer would be far enough away from the others!

Would that be to the West of Stranraer

Stevie,
I'm travelling down from Elgin and will be passing Glasgow (M74) if you want to convoy from there. I'm not sure exactly when I will pass there but reckon it will be around two. Is that too late? I am working until 4am on the Friday morning so can't leave much earlier although I may consider leaving straight from work and driving down for a couple of hours (Perth area) and parking up for a few hours siesta before continuing on. I can PM you with my mobile number if you fancy the convoy?
Thomas

Right, since I've been making some progress with my conversion, I've booked a pitch at the bash too.
Thomas - what time are you leaving if you decide to get a few hours kip after work before setting off?
Cheers
Dave

Just been told by the man supplying the wood - it'll not be available until friday!!
Then I've got to cut it into a 'kit form' set of panels, get it back to him for laminating, and then finally reassemble it all. And go to Belfast for 2 days, possibly offshore for a couple of days. And complete the wiring, plumbing, gas and floor.
Looks like a bucket of midnight oil may be required...

Sounds like you need to get the priority stuff done first! fridge for beer....bed for kipping

Hi Dave,
I should hopefully get finished on time (0400 hours), so should get to sleep by 0500. I reckon I would be happy to leave about 1100. It will take about 5 hours so should be arriving there about 1600 hours then. Is that okay for you? I could leave earlier and kip when I get there, after all, sleep is for the weak!
I am not heading straight back though as I'm off work for a weeks holiday. I'm gonna do the Turnberry area on Monday and then up the coast to Ayrshire to visit family and friends there.
Cheers,
Thomas
