http://www.yuasa-battery.co.uk/automoti ... ssref.html your battery is is not listed....
But another chart I have says.....105D31L - Volt 12 - (AH) 90
The number is a Japanese number and you can see the power if it above.... so if your replacing.... 068 or 249 ...
don't g to halfrauds go to a local motor factor with t trade counter.... it will still be 1/2 price compared to halfrauds
How true is that!!!!! I couldn't believe how stacked up their battery prices were. I got mine online (batmanuk.com) delivered next day for half the price of Halfords.
So anyway, its not the battery. Then I can only agree with the above. Something electrical has to be the main suspect. Need to get the multimeter out and start checking if voltage is getting to glowplugs etc. and work back from there. Could any relevant sensors or connectors have got mucked up or dislodged etc.
Good luck

I got a "Proper" set of jumper leads and he fired up fine first time.... Don't know wether to change the battery, to be honest, I'm shocked how quick I could have flattend the battery, I maybe - had one of the internal lights on from 10am until 3pm... is that really enough ? There are some good deals above, may just change it for peace of mind. Ran him for 20mins, switched off, then started fine, went out for 10 min drive, off for diesel top up, startup fine, went for an hours drive in the lovely wether. Started up fine later on, so Certainly just a flat battery.
Cheers.

Pleased to hear its sorted. I still suspect that a tired battery may cause poor glow and thus the engine turns but with no prospect of lighting up. Just a theory
A nice new SB does sound like a treat it deserves for the coming season. Don't want any aggravation on site in t'middle of nowhere
