If that one's meant for me, there is a relay before & after the relay - Willinton kit, need I say more

When you said the 70A relay had blown I thought you meant the Willinton one............................I also guess you mean there's a
fuse before and after the relay.......................

I was sure I'd typed fuse, not relay

Somebody keeps disconnecting my fingers from my brain

The incidence of brainfarts is definitely increasing as I get closer to leaving my 30's

Same specs as the Aldi one I have built into my Bongo.....but the Aldi is £12.99....

the only real difference other than the case is the Aldi didn't have the eyelet connectors for the Battery terminals, although I believe the CTEK ones are too small in any case

Phew - thanks Mike, I was just beginning to doubt whether my Aldi one did the same job

Mine's one of the Aldi/Lidl ones, in the destructions it says it won't pull it back up from below 7.5v, if you unscrew the croc clips, there's your eyelets (on mine anyway)

Haven't checked it yet today to see if it held charge overnight

I noticed that, but wonder if it's just there as legal jargon. I used mine on a 12v motorbike battery that had been flat/unused for about 4 years - it fired it back to life a treat

I now use it to power an 8w neon tube when beach fishing

Incidentally, my 8A normal battery charger failed to do anything with the battery

Mine definitely wouldn't pull it up from about 2v, had to use the old school one initially. So I'd say it's true.

Guess it's a case of pot luck then

My little battery didn't even register anything on the tester and I just topped it up with tap water (nothing to lose

) Maybe it was because it was only about a year old when last used, so the plates were probably in good nick
