I fitted the dimmer to the back of the interior light (wont fit behind the pin switch on the door frame, which would have been a lot simpler) and it works fine, leaves the lights on for around 40 seconds after you close the door, then slowly goes out, and I'm using led lights.
Now two problems #-o , the alarm wont set till the lights have gone out #-o , (not a big problem and can live with that ,i think :^o ).
But if i turn the lights off on the cab light completely, the alarm wont set at all then goes off as if there is a fault. #-o
When i turn the lights on ,the alarm works again after the lights go out.
:?: WHY and can it be sorted.

Its not setting as there is 'unused' power sitting in the dimmer circuit ( i know they sit on the - side), you could rewire it slightly
so the dimmer circuit is after the on/off switch that would cure it... I think :)

hmmm, no it wouldn't, as it would depend on what sort of switching it uses, will get back to you
