It's just a matter of shopping around & comparing prices, sometimes one supplier is cheaper on some things & not others, but all the metal pipes are available from one supplier or another for @£50, wierdly Bongobits don't seem to list the big ones & AVA don't list the heater ones, but I'm sure they could obtain what you need if you get in touch, always worth trying your local mazda dealer too.

mmmm, could be a suspect for me then.. I park the Bongo over the winter. then re-tax in summer. This years first long run 30miles, the Temp alarm came on after a steep climb for 10mins.. All went to normal and since then done many miles with no issue but I havent really pushed it.. Until this weekend. Given that my water tank was stained when I purchased the Bongo, and I've already had a leek that I caught, then head gasket could be an issue for me.
thanks for the tips though, will ask the garage to do some tests.

mmm, were stuck on this one, any help appreciated.
Fixed the leak however bongo still overheats on climbs etc. Garage has checked head gasket (I dont know how) and happy thats OK.. They suggested just changing the Radiator and Water pump. Fans are coming on OK and the thermostat is opening fine.. any ideas out there ?
thanks.

How do you know stat is opening fine? when was it last replaced & was it with a genuine mazda one? I'd change that first, I had a blueprint one that stopped doing it's job properly after @ a year. It's the key control element. Chances are it's not opening fully & closing off the top recirc inlet as shown here

Make sure the top seat is clean too.

About 10 degrees too soon

, should be @82 to 85 degreees. It's not just about when it opens, but how much, if you look at the animation I linked to. how are they checking it's opening at 75 degrees? Is this a gargae familiar with bongo cooling systems?
