do you know whats even more embarrassing my wife has the wiring but it wasnt in the little clip where it should be it was routed from the back.

Easier still... just unclip the plug under the seat Helen. That's IF yours did work. It might be a different story with later model bongo's though, perhaps the warning light might be linked to seat belt pre-tensioners (if fitted).

Reconnected mine nothing happened seat belt on or
off. No hot rear either.
