Portmerion is THE PERFECT spot for a meet.

Stay tuned for next years Daft Daffy Bash being organised.

I have a cunning plan . . . .

Had an excellent time and weather was lovely. The site is worth a visit just for the views. If you want a semi wild camping place that is quiet without hook up and like the idea of open pit fires then this is the place to go.Tiolet block is always cleaned regular as clockwork and the wash up facilities are good.(always have plenty of wul and scourers left out.A fridge to keep your ice blocks and a washing machine and dryer(a quid a time but who cares). There is also a barn with some old sofas and a fireplace for an evening get together and keep this under your hat but there are also 2 sockets if your laptop or mobiles need a charge! It can get a bit blowy but thats good for the washing.A steam train runs through each morning at 10.30ish and there is plenty of wildlife.....we saw herons, oystercatchers, shags, cormorants plus hubby saw 5 or 6 dolphins playing 600yds off shore...(i missed em)and there are seals about so the farmers wife told us although we didint see any of them. The beach is ideal for rock pools and the tide has a schedhule of its own but big boulders with not much sand so if you want sunbathing on a riviera beach then foget it!!
Having said all that the whole place is enchanting and the roads are good.Entrance to the sight is right on a sharp bend and the track leading down to it is a bit bumpy but again who cares.....this is a gem of a sight with awsome sunsets and just a great place to idle your time away!!

I am aure you will love it there.loads to see and do in the are and campsite was great.
There are a few pics here on facebook http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/albu ... =621276632 or here on flicker http://www.flickr.com/photos/harleyjayn ... 879203369/

Also keep an eye out for dolphins .kris spotted a smal pod of 5 or 6 offshore 2 days before we left. Also loads of herons, oystercatchers cormorants, shags etc right in front of you on the beach. You need a good sturdy pair of boots for exploring the beach and if you do walk a long way along the beach either way it is lovely plus you might see a few climbers.....I am definitely going back next year husband or no husband.
