sounds like belts

as you are right
if its number 1 stud you loose compression hence slight loss of power

you can get new belts off evilbay for around £28 ish for 2 alternator and 1 air con belt

its a high squeel, bit diff than say a fan belt slip. started 1st just when cold, now does it when warm also, I have thought that van is not as meaty as it should be!! :shock:

is there a pic of the stud ?

where abouts in cheshire are you ??

ian taylor is in stoke on trent he is a bongo expert with an exellent reputation and he does these quite often

sometimes they get like that #-o
but on the plus side if you do everything in theory it should last longer
