I suspected after seeing you scurrying down the A5 by Bewts Y Coed that you'd been up that way Muz.

Re: Team Muz Wales day-trip
This one, courtesy of Google Maps streetview, that I walked past without noticing
....

Well, in my defence m'Lud, I've had a look on Google Maps and I can't see any 'no pedestrians' signs anywhere, come to think of it, if you're a pedestrian, how are you supposed to get across, is there a rickshaw service across the bridges?
Although I did do a double-take at this pic, I thought the spy-cam had caught me getting out of a non-Bongo....

If you had been driving whilst taking due care and attention of the road (instead of looking out the window for a photo opp)
you may have noticed this sign on your approach to Britannia Bridge from the mainland

It was taken from a lay by where apparently some mad woman on Anglesey meets strangers from the top of the embankment in her spare time
Even if you had taken another route to Anglesey through the mountains you would certainly have noticed this sign

Failing that I’m sure you should have noticed this sign

Returning from Anglesey on the approach to the bridge you can’t miss this sign

Once you’d pulled over in the lay by after you’d come over the bridge you would have been looking at this sign

And if you zoomed your eyes in it would look like this

As you walked back to the bongo you would have seen this sign

In answer to your question about how to get over the to Anglesey avoiding Britannia Bridge walking (you being an avid walker)
I would suggest the scenic route which goes passed some mighty lions through some woods (with a crap view of Ynys Gorad Goch due to trees ) to a waterfall (albeit a little one) ... or you can cut across playing fields...carry on and you approach the Menai bridge which you can legally walk over to get to Anglesey (tho it does sway a bit when it’s windy !) and make sure you don’t go around June time or you and your Team may lose underwear
http://www.theonlinemail.co.uk/bangor-a ... -26696005/ for a good cause tho
And lastly I suggest you go back to google maps and have a look on the bridge, it seems there are two men who are disguised as council workers (hired by the Marchioness of Anglesey) to catch that no good Muz in his ‘other’ vehicle after walking on the bridge and trying to get a higher tide picture than me !!!

Re: Team Muz Wales day-trip
If anyone sees a woman on Anglesey with bushy black hair who rambles on about lions, bridges and bongos please get straight to Britannia Bridge and use their very sophisticated sos device in case of emergency and get her locked up

and no one would believe me if I said Ron was having a meeting in the bank today and Lord and Lady Anglesey flounced in causing a riot
I kid you not
and apparently Lord Anglesey needed a new cheque book as he's going to London and doesn't know how to use a cash machine
flippin islanders

p.s I got bloomin soaked taking them pics today

BUT - in my defence Your Honour, I was focused, truly focused. I spotted the 'no stopping' signs on the bridge and abided by them like the good tax-paying citizen I am. So I stopped in a pukka layby and walked back towards the bridge, and nowhere did it say no pedestrians, well not on my side of the dual carriageway anyway

I'm a bit worried about another part of the article and think I might have to learn my lesson and start behaving like a grown upMuzorewa wrote:"....adventurous men of good character" - exactly m'Lud.
'They’d landed on one of the four lion statues which are at the entrances to the 1850 rail crossing on the deck below'

'Both Dilworth, a film studies student, and Thumwood, a former zoology student, admitted charges of committing a public nuisance and trespassing on the railway.'

“We saw the stone statues and thought we would climb them.

We were just being boys, it’s something we should have grown out of by now.”
“We are very sorry to everyone we inconvenienced.”
I certainly won't be doing it again
