I also have a OS map in case of banishment from the main walk or other disasters. If the pubs admit me and my "bouncy" dog they will certainly let the kids in.
Its a treat to find pubs that want customers and serve good beer and food. Too many round here think shivering outside an empty pub is a pleasure for customers.

I have just finished repairing my tent - savaged by a fox in Wales last October ,so I am all ready to see everyone on Friday. Wonder if we will get a repeat of last years plague of frogs

Chris&Gem wrote:So can someone tell me if the walk is do-able with the kids, ie, are they allowed in the pub
:D All the pubs are 120% child friendly, they even let me in #-o

P.S - Paul is it possible to get the little log cabin for the Saturday night
it will make it so much nicer to get everyone together 8)
If you can't it's not a problem, old CrAzYs beer tent will have to suffice \:D/

My plan if anyone is interested is to take a stroll around the country park
Friday afternoon and find the death slides again :P and then end up in the
Kicking Donkey for a nice dinner by the roaring fire, then back to party central (my awning).
Saturday after breakfast and a cider I will be setting off with a trusty OS map
wandering aimlessly through the country side until I happen to come across somewhere
that sells pop and a pie.

Saturday night dinner will probably be in my trusty Bongo and then either over to the log cabin for fun
or throw open the doors to my beer keller and crack on once again

Obviously these are only guidelines, as sometimes things go a little
different to plan for some strange Bongo reason.

You may join me or do your own thing as always,
you pays your money you takes your chance =D>

Either way I am looking forward to seeing you all again soon 8)

:D I have to agree, it certainly was another great weekend,
the weather was absolutely gorgeous Saturday and Sunday, and the company lovely as always.
Friday night was a tad chilly though,
we actually had thick ice forming on top of our awning!
lucky for us a good bottle of Port put paid to that chilly feeling, central heating for grown ups 8)
See you all again soon at Merley I hope =D>
