I think it was Tony who posted elsewhere last week that these roadworks are delayed until Sept so we will be ok.

For fffffffffffffffffffffffffff's sake. Why don't they put marshalls on the junctions for the period of the games, giving work to local people (the Big Society in action). I guess I know why:
They can show that the cost of doing that will be greater than the cost of making a permanent upgrade (which no doubt they can claim back through some Olympics slush fund) which may (I tress may) be of lasting value. All true perhaps............as long as you don't cost in wasted time, fuel, lost business and leisure that isn't directly measurable (but may be huge) resulting from their decision.
Why not write to the local MP asking him to put this question to parliament?
