Was a bit concerned with some of the other posts I recived with regards to the shock absorber. I've had the bongo for five months without a hitch bar yesterdays fun. Getting ready to take the family holidaying very soon. Also could anyone tell me how to flush the power steering fluid and is slick 50 power steering fluid recommened? I do have 10w/40 as recommended by the bloke at Halfords but I was thinking about the seals?

You need DOT 4 power steering fluid.
Dont know how to flush the brake fluid ,am only doing mine this weekend, trial and error
EDITED.... DOT 4 IS BRAKE FLUID  , NOT POWER STEERING FLUID [-X , WHICH IS DEXRON 3.

I think DOT4 is brake fluid Dave :?
You should use Dexron 3 (or equivalent) automatic transmission fluid for the power steering - same as in the gearbox.

This is asking about power steering fluid, which is usually topped up with Auto Transmission Fluid (ATF).

But here you mention 10W/40 which is engine oil.............. :? I hope Halfords didn't tell you to use that in the Power Steering?

I'm looking at this picture & also thinking possible damage to any bearings..? & could that be brake fluid on the inner wheel rim?? Techies knock me back if i appear to be wrong, I'd check the tire walls too!??? Cant be too careful... :D
It could be oil from the Damper.

Yes, hydraulic fluid as used in the automatic gearbox. have a qucik look on the blurb on the rear of the bottle before you add any... DEXRON3 rating would be nice to see. You can use the same bottle to top up the auto gearbox if it needs it. (as long as it's DEXRON3 rated fluid)
