Pooh, just thought..! You may just need to remove the centre screw in the panel pocket, remove the 2 screws retaining the rear heater control then feel with yer hand/using torch (tis a bit tricky) feel if the linkage is connected to the flap pivot on the flap..?

Made even more tricky by the fact that there is a unit there with the cooker, sink and fridge in it! I'll have a look tonight to see if I can still get to any of it.

Have the rear heater controls been moved from this position perchance..?



I'll also add, about halfway/two thirds from the vent in the lower panel towards the seat front is the heat flap controller linkage... (Floor level.)

Yes there is now a unit there with the cooker, sink and fridge in it. The controls have been relocated to the back of the unit. The air vents have also been re-directed to two smaller air vents in the base of the kitchen unit. Perhaps someone with the Imperial Moonfleet conversion can advise on how to get at the rear aircon bits and bobs?

Before you start removing your conversion and rear panels to get into the rear aircon housing, I think you should check with a garage that your system is suitably gassed and that you dont have any leaks

My Bongo has a full side conversion. The rear heater controls are now inside one of the cupboards with a grill in the skirting board beneath the cupboard being the heater outlet.

Yes, I have the controls and the outlets but it's the actual workings that I need to get to. I think I'll go for a re-gas first and work from there. The front aircon works perfectly but I seem to get warm air out of the rear outlets (top and bottom) irrespective of what the slider position is on the rear control panel. Because of this, I tend to think it's the flap and/or the linkage that's at fault, probably because it hasn't been used for a while. The previous owner only did 10,000km in four years! The linkage for the front system had dropped out when I first got it so I could only get air out of the floor outlets at the front. That was an easy fix.

The heater matrix (when engine is up to temp) is always hot.. Assuming the temp control slider (part 61-325 http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... mgno=.html) on the rear control is the same principle as the complete manual version..? Then, during the control "relocation" it's possible the cycle brake cable style set up for the flap control has come unclipped on say, the sheath that the cable runs through..? The flap. unable to close properly against the heater matrix will still warm the air to the exit vent/s even with the AC on!! Just a theory...
I've had mine apart.

Looking at the diagram again... I'd guess it is servo controlled.. there may even be a break in the loom extension.. If one was fitted?? All food fer thought!
