Bongo Fury

Another endorsement for how easy it is to fit - Thank you Martin.
The only slight problem I had was fitting the tray as one of the bolts didn't want to go into the hole. Think the thread must have been full of paint, and it took me a while to pluck up the courage to just use a bit of force to get the bolt to cut it clean. Was a bit scared I had cross-threaded it and might strip the thread, but nothing to worry about in the end. Tools you need are 10mm and 13mm spanners (or preferably sockets) and a screw driver for popping out the blank in the bulkhead.
I got the Numax 113Ah battery which is recommended on the forum many times. Delivered in less than 36hrs by Tayna and fitted it straight into the tray with no problem.
All appears to have worked first time! Lights, stereo and blinds all now working from the LB.

C'mon Mike ..... get to it..... My Willinton has been on for almost 3 yrs now.... and what a superb bit of kit....easy to fit and you can rely on your LB to be charged..... I have a built in charger too and occasionally on hook up I switch it on.....in less than an hour the 2 "charged" LED's are lit....such is the quality of a) the Willinton's charge abilities b) the superb Aldi "ctek alike" charger and c) a 3 yr old and 3 yr warranted Leisure battery that has been maintained

You do know of course that it was I who persuaded him to start makng this kit. Back in the dark old days the job of fitting a split charge relay sounded too much for simpletons like me, and it was corblimey who came up with a simple (but not perfect) solution, which I adpoted. But having just bought one of willintons battery trays, I started corresponding with him to suggest there would be a real demand for a split charge relay and jumper kit should he care to market one. I think he had already been thinking along those lines, but was spurred on by my pointing up the pent-up demand. And the rest, as they say, is history.

But yes, although my corblimey setup works just fine, I do like the sound of a heavy duty willinton jumper kit. Oh and I'll need a new LB as well cos mine is knackered. ££££s, always ££££s, with these Bongos. I dunno, the things we do for them, and the things they do for us

Ah, those were the days. And yes I agree: its simple and works fine. I've not even upgraded my relay, though I should. I do fancy a willinton kit as it looks well made and the setup and instructions would just make it easy to do the fusbox jumper stuff. But corblimey did a good job with his guidance - v. cheap and v. simple to install

Fitted my kit and battery tray today,really easy,instructions very clear and the whole thing just fitted properly.Martin was quite happy for the kit to be picked up so saving on the postage too!
