and stop in the wet?

Looked at some reviews that say they are dangerous in the wet

I've not noticed problems with cheap tyres on the Bongo at all...AS LONG AS...you make sure tracking/ balance, etc. is all up to scratch...the Bongo is reasonably heavy, and presumably makes the tyres work!...I stick with cheapies due to the roads, as I say...one person on another forum here has had 20tyres and several wheels destroyed...so cheap tyres are a must.
In England, depending on where you live determines road conditions, plus the amount of bad road surfacing.
The Bongo isn't a performer, so , in my opinion, cheap tyres that work are as good as anything...I wouldn't put them on a performance car though! Having said that, all tyres for sale in the UK must meet safety standards, or they can't be sold, so on an average car, sticking high-faluting performance tyres on is like feeding a donkey strawberries, and only a case of "Badgemanship"
For me, it's save yer lolly and buy some bling with the difference!

Toyo are a premium brand and fitted to Lexus as OEM. I have them on my Jeep, with no problems. Maxxis used to be made by the Cheng Shin Tyre co, and were regarded, unfairly as 'not for use on vehicles'. The new Maxxis are quite highly thought of, and raced.

It does pay to shop around though.

People used to say on here that Accelera were good and cheap @ around £55 per corner for 17" ones (Kirsty - MissFixit70 had them on hers).

anyone know anything about autotyre? its offerd as a budget option...

tbh i suspect i will go budget and change all off them in one go,as the ones we have are car not van rated anyway.

got them done,280 all round...but

the monkeys didnt have the right tools for the job,they didnt have the right socket for windy gun and put scores into the wheel where nuts go as they did them up,and also in the centre of my where there is a disc /cover you need to remove quite a few allen screws to get cover off to balence wheels.

when he did them up he rounded of some of the nuts and will now need to be drilled out!..They didnt say anything ,but i noticed it!when i called them back he said yer he did have a trouble with a screw,iam not happy they didnt own up and say sorry!..
I am now going to have to go down and moan....whick i do not like to have to do

and they have the nerve to have pro as part of thier name!!

Its really annoying that most tyre bays dont bother to have impact sockets with thin walls and nylon sleeves to avoid these issues.

The centre caps are usually only held on by one allen screw the others are mock, when you look close up this is fairly obvious but some tyre monkeys try everyone till they get the right one.
