Have spoke to Oakdown and they can do it for 11.00 non eletric and 13.00 for electric if 5 or more of us book.
They a trail to walk to the Donkey Sanctury.
Just spent a lovely night at Torcross. Camp half way along the beach in the car park for £2.00 couldn't find the light for the loos so take a torch. Pub and food available in Torcross ( and lighter loos ) but we spent time on the beach looking at the stars with a fire and a bottle of wine and woke up to a fantastic view. Dartmouth is not far and Totnes both of which are worth a visit. You can wild camp on the sea front at Dartmouth after 6pm. Hope to join you with the donkeys.
Sorry for he delay in responding soner, I'm up for Oakdown if we can get 5. Simon is number one, i'm number two, who's going to be tree four and five?.
Being as it's being organised via this thread, I'd say it's the sunday for the day meet, but looks like some will be making a weekend of it which would include the saturday
May see you there
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
I must apoligse to those of you that I told the meet was on Saturday, I stand corrected. Yes it is on SUNDAY the 2ND. Why I said Saturday, I have no idea. Sorry again,
Dave
Hi Folks, The day meet will go ahead rain or shine, on Sunday 2nd October at the Donky Sanctury, however, for those of us who are camping, I have been a little cautious about booking the campsite after experiencing two week end of high winds and rain. BUT the weather forecast is very good so will tomorrow speak to Oakdown site to find out about a block bookings.
Keep your eyes peeled on the Devon and Cornwall page as I hope to have all the answers tomorrow.
