Hi David...
34 at the rear with a load on...36 with a caravan...trial and error, and feel handling....and cheap tyres!...why buy expensive when the roads are bad enough to shred good tyres?

Hi
I also agree with Kirsty....The look of the tyre does tend to tell quite a bit....I has a front tyre with a cute little bulge t'other day...20 PSI
pumped up to 32 PSI (tyres cold), and all is well

Me, I'm running my V6 on 28 front (195 x 70s) and 36 rear (215 x 65s) and have no inclination to do otherwise.
I must confess, though, that when I saw the manufacturer's recommended pressure I thought they were quite low. However, I'm a great believer in taking manufacturer specs as a sound starting point - compromise though they might be, a lot of time and money has gone into arriving at them. More time and money than I've got, that's for sure! The only justification I can see for changing tyre/wheel/suspension specs
significantly from the original is for special use eg. motor sport; heavy load carrying, etc.
I should say that this attitude has developed as I've got older - was a time when I wanted everything I drove to look like a BTCC challenger and handle like a tail-happy roller-skate!

Discussions on tyres & cooling systems have a history on here of getting a bit "heated" on occasion
