I think the console warming up may be incidental, but no, it happens with lights on or off and on long journeys or short!

So, just got back from Mazda Guildford...Codes received: P1228 - Wastegate Failed Open (under pressure) and P0400 - EGR system flow malfunction.

have a chat with julian at 321 away he is very helpful and will advise on the best way forward. he is a well respected dealer on the forum.

So, went to 123, Away today where Julian ran 2 or 3 tests and concluded that it was a 3 -way solenoid valve that had failed. All sorted under warranty and within a v. short space of time...Thoroughly recommended!

Sorry to revive this old thread but Gary from Helensburgh has been in touch with identical problems and identical fault codes. Do we have a part number for the 3 way solenoid valve?

What age is the vehicle,you should be able to get part numbers from Lushprojects..example..showing item number18-741A 3 way valve,click on item number for part number.
