The pipes appear to be installed early on in the original assembly sequence and Mazda probably didn't envisage it having to come out in a hurry.  The brackets are part of the pipe so there's a fair few bits to strip off to make access possible and to steer the new pipe into place - without kinking it  
 
That perforated bit on mine is the rear part, under the rear of the driver's seat.

debs bongo has suffered the same fate paul,just trying a little bit of Aussie outback repairing seeing as Anglesey is a long long way from Belgium. 
  
 
old gen mazda stat tested and wasnt opening until it reached 91-2 degC, new one fitted, flushed, new coolant,new gen mazda stat, and a pressure test.
tomorrow will tell if the bongo will pull through

				There seems to be a lot all of a sudden.  But even the Smurfs could do next day to Anglesey.
