What we all need to realise is that your battery will not last forever.....especially if it has run flat.....it will lose a lot of its capacity.....I think that Pippin mentioned this on an earlier post.......I think that the best solution is that if you have doubts about your battery the best thing is bite the bullet and splash out on a new one........expensive I know but could save a lot of heartache if your Bongo won't start......Alan

Alan is right.
Also, I found that a voltmeter is not up to the job of testing a battery.
Not enough load.
Best to pop into a battery stockist and get your battery drop tested.

Thanks Dave....I used to be an electrician but I think I am cured now according to my psy....phsy....sicia.....my shrink.....but you are right in what you say.....a full drop test on the battery is the only way to find out if it is going to let you down...Alan

Did a drop test on mine, really simple thing to do.

Unfortunately there is battery acid all over the drive and I am now off work because my right foot is fractured in several places.

On the bright side it does not matter that my Bongo will not start (until I get a new battery) because I can't drive it with my leg in plaster!
