I thought Vindolanda was the best by far, with Housesteads second. Then Chesters & Birdoswald probably equal third. The Roman Army Museum was a bit of a disappointment.

It's a very unspoilt area, beautiful in the right weather :wink:

Hexham was good as it had a Tesco Extra as well as Aldi and Waitrose, so no problem getting all your supplies :D

Yeah I found the Tesco too. Filled up the went for a walk along the river

For the record Muz... I love all your trips but you really have to start putting postcodes or something in as I can never find anywhere when I look. (Currently looking for Baron Inglewoods house in hutton-in-the-forest).

P.S: I think we might be looking to stay in Blencowe house for a certain special occassion in April 2018. It is stunning and big enough for the family. So thanks for that.
