You can get a length of hose for about £6/metre (as I recall) and fit that but the big problem is that it will not have the 90 degree bend formed in it to ensure it does not collapse round such a short tight radius.
Considering the parts are for a 20 year old model which has been out of production for 10 years, that was also never sold in this country, then £80 inc delivery is not really that bad.

VAT At 20% included, too, and when Mrs B moans about the odd repair I have to point out the almost zero depreciation and versatility.
Re: Panic...water leak!!!
Sorry, you misunderstood. £80 is for the long steel pipe. The rubber hose is £24.

I need a closer look which involves me borrowing my old mans jack and tools! All the coolant has come out so I will need to do the whole laborious process
Also, £80 for a short bit of rubber pipe seems outrageous! Am I missing something here or are parts for these a fortune? Can't I just get something generically that size and stick it on? I was expecting a bit of pipe to be inexpensive.
Don't forget axle stand if you're going under.

Thanks again everyone. Glad to hear the rubber pipe is not £80! I can understand why the steel one would be that, no worries.
This 'Adrian' that has been mentioned, is he in Bury St Edmunds? Im looking for a respected and trusted 'Bongo know how' garage to get stuff done I don't feel confident enough to do myself, such as Cambelt and full service. I don't trust an everyday garage to know enough to properly do things on the camper, and would rather take it somewhere recommended by others on here.
I love my Bongo so much and my wife and I have had 5 amazing trips already and we have only had it 9 weeks! Sadly, we need a new roof canvas as we found out we have the 'European water resistant' version on our JAL mushroom roof, and not the 'storm proof version' so things have suddenly got very expensive, as I would like to get it serviced too. This water leak is not well timed

I can't think of anything better than a trip mountain running in the Bongo!
Re: Panic...water leak!!!
Unfortunately I think the Adrian in Bury mentioned is northern Bury not Bury St Edmunds.
If you do find someone in the Cambridgeshire area let me know. Unless mikexgough wants to go into repairing Bongo's full time?!
