Right on both counts. The plastic ones look good enough...I didn't check, but were they glass-filled nylon?.....anyway, I'm not sure of the hole diameter of the nylon control plate on the Bongo, but a washer either side of the plate will do the trick and either one of those rose-joints....The end result is a repair that's better than original, and I don't care for bodge jobs . With a little effort, it should make a better than new repair.
I might just order some of those just to have in the spares box!
