I've signed too, although I'm lucky at the moment because Ruca's not bothered by them.

I will gladly sign this petition. I love a good firework display but,
lets face it, fireworks are like sex: they're much more fun when you aren't getting them every night. Boy did i used to look forward to that one night in the year

Now, i can't even get excited any more

But an unexpected bang can be exiting too.
Signed.

I knew it was only a matter of time before someone light the blue paper and cracked that one. But 'exiting' is a word I'd associate more with post-bang and is probably not unexpected?
I think the moderators will be coming into the dorm soon and carting us off to the housemaster for a damn good whacking if we carry on like this

From my encounters, Ruca isn't generally bothered by anything. If I was a firework, I'd be nervous

Don't get me started on fireworks
It's not just the idiots letting them off in the street
It's the vans full of them delivering them to the make shift / pop up shops to beware off
We had a firework factory in peterborough years back
One day a van was driving past my office with a bit of smoke coming out the back
It pulled into the carpark 2 units up
After being flashed and hooted at
Turned out to be delivering to the firework factory opposite ours
5 mins later 1 fireman was dead
One industrial unit was almost flat
The 2 storey industrial unit next to ours lost all of one side
That one shielded us from the blast as it was taller than our single storey brick built office
But the vacuumed from the blast passing over the top of us did lift the flat roof up on our office
My boss was under the desk for about half an hour
There was a petrol tanker passing which had the windscreen blew inwards into the cab hurting the driver badly
There were firemen staggering about with the big thick yellow pvc trousers they used tear ripped to shreds there heavy donkey jackets had been blown off them , wellys ripped
God bless them
Many office workers hurt
It will happen again or one of the temporary shops will go bang
There bad news unlicensed
Gas safe heating engineer / plumber if you need any advice just shout.

Yea but he does it with reindeers, in a sleigh, in the snow. Not sure I'm up for that
