If it's starting that you're worried about, you can use a diesel depresator in the fuel . They aid the flow of diesel by preventing waxing, and enable starting down to a pretty low temperature. I use one and some years it gets to minus 25C for a short while. I tend to only go out when the roads are gritted, but it's useable if you need to go out . I use a Castrol one, but there are others.
The block heaters won't be any use camping, I'm afraid, as you'll need to get a Webasto heater for that...that's a different saga
