You're a star Ozric. Since posting, I've been advised that modern wikopoedia technology for forums gets rid of the kind of problems we are having (although there would still be plenty of legacy material that would need cataloging and putting into the new repository). All this means v. little to me though (I did a lot of dbase programming in MSDOS days , and have done some MS Access but in truth I dont keep up at all with the world of IT). I tried to look at http://www.wikopoedia.com/ but the Activex stuff is blocked by my employers intranet gateway and the page wont load.

Its a good thing we've got you!! Interested in your views on the above.

I'll be using M$ Access Mike and creating ASP web pages to search it and display the results.
I'll be putting it in my own web space, but I do have a monthly limit on bandwidth. So if the bandwidth becomes and concern (I also use the space for paying clients) I'll have to find a new hosting area. But we'll wait and see. I've started on the database design, it's quite simple, but I want to get it right first time. Heres the main table layout.

its an option, or the relay is iffy or they are the correct size but not rated for the use. I think someone mentioned that they remain on after the light has gone out. all it takes is one to fail.

to add to my frustration the other half phoned today from work to tell me the passenger side mirror fell off. probably was knocked at some time but has now bloody fell off

My better half sometimes tells me something "fell off" the car. She sometimes tells me a new scratch has "appeared".
Strange as it may seem, these freak occurances nearly always happen after she has attempted to park in a multistorey carpark.
