Well that was the most enjoyable weekend I’ve had for yonks, and Muzette had the time of her life. Many thanks to Di & Jamie for their efforts in organising, that lakeside barbie was absolutely brilliant. Here’s to the next one at this fantastically appointed site.

The ducks were fairly tame, especially when tempted with some breakfast

No bother about the rain

If you go down to the woods today......

I can feel an Otis Redding song coming on here

Fantastic weekend.

Thanks to Di and Jamie for organising.
Thanks to Dandy Girl and family for the loan of the boats. (and my mate Sam for loaning his - if he ever gets it back!)
Thanks to all the attendees on the hastily orgainsed four seasons walk. We definitely weren't lost in the woods at any point I always knew where we were at all times  honest!
and everyone else for being there.

Hope the news from Mike (Dreamwarriors) Mason Alarm wasn't too critical and they are on the way home.
The alarm started going before they had left the park :(

What a fantastic weekend. I have to thank each and everyone of you for making this into such a great meet - its all you lovely people that make me want to get out and do this on a weekend. We all contribute in making every meet a success. Friday nights jacobs join was great but the BBQ on the lake shore in the bright sunshine on saturday will take some beating.
Cheers to Dandy Girl for letting everyone use your boats. Much appreciated. All the kids (big and little) had a great time in the water. I will have a go one day....
Cheers also to Harry for kindly bringing the marquee.
The site have said we are welcome back anytime 8) This time next year then?
I'll post some pics later/tomorrow when I've got more time.

back home at last,
must say well done to di and jamie for organising this one, harry for the marquee and thanks to those who nursed us to the pub, that hairy toffee pudding moment.
had a great relaxing weekend but i wish i could remember what happened saturday night. no reccollection whatsoever but the headache was a good one. then i had to face the problems of an overheating bongo.
looks like either the radiators goosed or the thermostat isnt opening.
lovely photos by all as expected.
thanks again.
ps amanda dont eat all that chocolate leave some for tomorrow.

I was thinking the same. For as much as our ageing bodies can stand it the walk was the fulfillment of a promise I've been making myself for years - to get out walking on some beautiful hills, and the Lakeland Fells are definitely that. The company was great and I'd return again tomorrow to walk again with the company we had on Saturday.

What about trying different parts of the Lake District. I've a hankering for the varaious bits of it (Langdale, Eskdale, Wasdale) if there were suitable sites.

Will post pics tomorrow - too knackered tonight! 8)
