Bongo Fury

O hello!

Just thought to introduce myself here, since I am (ok, together with my husband) a proud new owner of a black A-team-style '95 Bongo, and we're living near Barnsley.
Our Ford Focus was (or still is) slowly dying, campervan was brought up every once in a while, and now that we needed some sort of replacement, we thought: why not combine the two and try to look for a campervan that can also be used for (less than daily, for we're also motorcyclists) commuting. So, we found one, bought one, and now I'm here.

It's got a conversion and everything, so that's great. And we're planning some awesome camping trips with it, beginning with Croatia and Slovenia in May/June.

Haven't got a name for the Bongo yet, although we're leaning towards 'The Jerk', since then we can claim we've got a vanity plate (ends in JRK)...

Welcome to bongo ownership, dont be shy to chip in on here and also ask questions. I like seeing peoples pictures if you can figure out how to post them.

But it's not that clean anymore.. that's the problem with having a dark/black car.. the mud, the everything, it's visible.

Looks a bit like my old one, I still like black best.

About time I introduced myself I think.

I'm Jamie and our Bongo will be used by Caroline, my wife and our 2 kids, Jessica who is 8 and Erin who is 6.
We live in the beautiful town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire.

I only placed a deposit last Friday on a beautiful fresh import silver 2002 Aero AFT so it will be a little while until I can pick up my new baby. There's all the servicing, cambelt, LPG conversion and underseal to do, then it's off to have a 6 seater side conversion done.

Can't wait!

Does the C stand for Coates by any chance? I think I might know you from a few Facebook groups.
