Haven Camp - Mablethorpe from Fri 20th March

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

My thoughts as well, especially if I do give up work. The thing is that, even if you don't use the camp facilities, they seem to be the cheapest around for midweek camping.

Hi Kenneth,
I have heard nothing of this, but will phone tomorrow, to see what it is about. Thanks for alerting us. I will let you know tomorrow.

Cheers Anna

Hi ,
As some of you will already know by now. There has been a problem with work going on at the Haven Camp. Apparently due the snow and resulting flooding, building and general refurbishing at the camp is running 2 weeks late and will not be completed by the 20th.
However they are happy for us to use the site, or change the dates to 27th.

Disruption
Swimming pool possibly closed
general untidiness from from building plants
and the usual that goes with upgrading work

________________________________________
Still functional
Clubhouse with limited entertainment
Washing and toilet facilities

Since the workers/builders only work weekdays, there will be no noise at the weekend.

Choices available

Cancel
Rebook another date
see if they can transfer to another site (but I think most will be in the situation)

Please let me know what you would like to do as soon as possible and I will see what I can do.

For more information phone 01507477871 (Dave)
Please quote booking number and tell them you are in a group.

So sorry this has happened as I was really looking forward to it, as you guys were. I also booked the weekdays, which he said I could still come, but I would have the facilities all to myself except for half a dozen residentials.

I reckon we should stick with it :D
I can live without the swimming pool and the evening entertainment is often restricted out of the main season anyway.
Plus, the building work will remind me of my holidays in Spain

So glad some of you are sticking with it. I have just spoken to Dave at Haven again and he said the swimming pool will be open for the weekend afterall :D Due to the obvious cancellations, if anyone else wants to join and rough it with us he will do the weekend at the original special. which I believe was about £18 for weekend with electric.

Carry on camping - Yes! :D

Were still on for the 20th, if the pool was not going to be open then we would have cancelled as the kids would have been a nightmare without it... #-o #-o #-o

Did Haven phone any of you ???
Anyway, they assured me today that the swimming pool would be open for the weekend. If they do call you ,ask again for confirmation.

I'm so glad the camp is still on :D =D>
