Anna, we are a bit stuck at the mo as our mechanic is being somewhat elusive
The van has been off the road for 10 days and I have only managed to get hold of him once. He then promised faithfully to turn up the next day and then didn't  Now we are trying to get hold of him again. Do you think it would be OK to come in the Fiesta and sleep in the Bongo awning?

I just wish the mechanic would look at the van and tell us what the problem is

Hopefully see you Friday [-o<

Hi Sarah,
Sorry to hear that you are still having a problem with your mechanic :( If you take it elsewhere to be fixed, it sounds like, he will wash his hands of the responsibility of it going wrong. What a terrible predicament to be in !!! You must be getting fed up ,if not angry by now!
You can come to Hurley in any vehicle you choose to use. :) If you need help with anything, you might need for sleeping in the awning ie: hookup, bedding, heater, cooker etc, let me know and I will bring along . Look forward to seeing you friday. :D

Cheers Anna

Thank you Anna :)

We have an airbed ('borrowed' from sister in law 4 years ago  ) and a pump. We have two single quilts, 2 sleeping bags and a blanket. We have a gas burner for cooking, and we have van hook up and a fan heater. The only thing we have to get is the converter for the hook up so it can be used in a tent (it has a blue 3 round pin end so we need the other bit and the normal socket). Hopefully the local caravan shop will do it.
It is only for two nights so we should cope  !!!

Oh, and the mechanic answered his phone today =D> . He said he would be round to look at the van later (although he said that last Thursday too [-X )

We're really looking forward to Hurley. We've had one of those fortnights (don't mention plastering walls or felting shed roofs to Adrian until we've got the awning up...)

Hi Sarah, Glad you have heard from the mechanic :D Fingers crossed he will get it sorted. Don't buy anything hookup wise. We have a camping hookup with RCD etc and a double inflatable readybed(unused) that you can borrow. I will get Jimmy to put them in now. You will probably still need extra sleeping bag or duvet though. let me know if you need anything else :)

Anna :D

Picked up our Merlin Annual Passes at the weekend so will pay a visit to Legoland on Saturday :) It's the "Amazing Machines" weekend too, so there's the added attraction of Monster Trucks! :D

At least we will all be toasty warm

Thank you Anna for your kind assistance - it will save us buying an attachment we (hopefully) wouldn't need again. And save Adrian having to search the loft for an antique airbed

See you Friday eve.

Hi ,
Saturday night----Just looking at Davey's post (DBlake) Very useful info- Thanks Dave :D Since there is a special event on with Monster trucks, for those visiting Legoland Saturday, not finishing until 6pm , it is unlikely you will be back in time for the usual "food time" 4-5pm. Unless you are eating out. Would you like us to change the usual time to say 6pm-7pm, or I could just put something in the oven/microwave when you return. We are doing "Basic food" this weekend, as we won't have space for BBQ. We are picking up our new wheels :D 8) .
I thought - Chilli, hotdogs, sausages, beans cheese, salad and Jacket potatoes or rolls, to put it all in. All cooked on cooker and put on griddle to stay warm. Would that suit everyone ? Otherwise I will try and squeeze a small BBQ in.

Anna

That's good! But you can bring the frosties   If it's Basic and easy, we will set a later time :D 6.pm-7pm. Still plenty of time for anyone wishing to head up the pub, after !!! :)

Cheers Anna
