Mmm food always a good way to tempt people ..... is anyone else interested in joining us here in sunny wiltshire?

I'm thinking 1st or 2nd week of October?

Once I have a general idea of numbers I'll source somewhere suitable to camp (think I already have this sorted, just need to finalise some details!), bbq the kids (for those of us that have some!) and partake in some flavoured liquid with the potential of enducing a moderately numb head and limiting the use of limbs!

2nd week is OK for us...

I'd just name a date & location, if you wait for a group decision it'll never happen

I've just been checking out all of the options ... my friend has not come back to me but they work away all week so?

There are other options .....

The barge, honey street (nr pewsey)
and I think you can camp at the shepheards rest wanborough
Also lechlade - there's a small campsite, but I think the trout provides camping too .....

I will have this sorted by Sunday promise

Ok so my friend has not come back to me .... so it goes like this, I've contacted the Barge near Pewsey:

http://www.the-barge-inn.com/index.htm

They say that providing the weather holds out the site will be open, I also explained that there would be a few of us, on both counts they suggested that I ring them again a few days before the 10th October just to confirm the arrangements. So if you peeps just let me know yay or nay, then I'll try to keep count of the number of bongo's going so that I can confirm on the 7/8th October. The site is over an acre (any idea's how many bongo's you could fit in an acre? - not that I'm assuming we will fill it but ....). Its a fairly basic site but a nice location and the pub serves good food for those who can't be a....d to cook!

If the weather is OK I may go over there on the friday night, Cost is £5.00 per person per night £2.50 for under 12's.

Sorry I can't be more precise and lets keep our fingers crossed for the weather. [-o<

Nice one Alex :D , do you think they'll be ok with people just turning up for a day meet either on the saturday or sunday? Just thinking that not everyone may want to stay over.

Include me in on this one. Will the site allow dogs, since I always seem to have a four legged friend in tow :?:

Can't see that there would be a problem, there is a big car park at the front of the pub.
