Hi thanks Julian ... Interestingly the breather plug thingy had popped out we discovered ( or had not been put back) but although this improved my problems it was the temperature sender unit and good job Discount Trucks found this as Fred said potentially I could have had the dreaded overheating !!! Anyway all fixed now and he says it's the best V6 he has ever driven mow so can't wait to get it back !!

I have been having exactly the same stalling problem with my Bongo recently. After reading this thread I put some injector cleaner through the engine and cleaned the fuel filler. It was better, put still not perfect. Checked the filter and fuel pump seals, all seemed good.
I tried the suggestion of only filling up with BP ultimate diesel, this seems to have solved the problem. Drove to Cornwall and back last week with no stalling at all. I still find that it takes a bit of cranking to start after a long run but its getting better each time.
Thanks all for the info

Haven't tried that yet but I have cleaned the filler cap as suggested on here and checked the breather.
We're driving up to the bash in a couple of weeks so I'll see how she goes. If I get he problem again I'll give that a try.
