The loss of feet isn't problem I never got a driving licence! I have a Chaufferess for that bit 
OK on the L/B being connected to the "Car" it will work electrically of course no problem, just not an obvious setting! And yes it will be charged by what ever the split charging arrangement is. You will just need to ensure that you drive sufficiently far each day if your camping out without any mains charging, a lot of people stay on-site and walk / bike etc. which would be a problem with that arrangement. Unless your saying that there is a charger but hidden away elsewhere and not feeding thru the Zig ?
