I agree - if there's 'repair' to be done then it should be proper, ie helicoil, rethread for larger bolt, or through hole with nut at a push.Simon Jones wrote:Why not investigate making some form or cap or rubber bung to fill the hole? Yeah, right enough. Blu-tac gets softer when you heat it. 'White' is hotter than 'blue' - what about white-tac? Looking around my kid's drawers, plasticine or playdoh - which d'you reckon?
