The job isn't perfect but I took the view that on a vehicle this old with rust underneath it was worth keeping the savings for other work.
Sensible. It looks great to me and that's a good price :-)

Dodgey wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2014 10:46 am Just to update this with cost (I found this thread searching for arch replacement costs). I'm getting mine done in Taunton at a body shop that resprayed the front of my Porsche, so I know they are good! They are replacing one arch with a sprinter arch supplied by me, and grinding, cleaning and mending the other arch (with metal!), then respraying the rear sides and pretty much one whole side - due to the massive panels) - then waxoyling the arches, for £500 plus vat.

p.s. the arches are on offer at the moment. £32 delivered
Hellooooooooo- this is a really old thread, I know but I jumped when I saw this msg. I live in Glastonbury and have almost given up on funding somewhere willing to do my rear arches. Am usually met with a harrumph and told they're not keen.
Where in Taunton is this garage? Could I have their name, number if you're still around! 🙏

This price may have gone up bearing in mind the terms recently won by the working man, massive increase in pensions, reduction of council tax and taxes in general, combine that with the availability of world wide cheap raw materials especially from europe,
But may be wrong.
