As cmm303 has said this s not addresses to any one manufacturer of this type of LCA, the main problem is ,the only way to make certain that the alarm is working is to Drain coolant bellow the bottom screw.
Most manufactures of this type of alarm will clearly admit this fact.
I am by no means knocking this type of alarm but peeps should be aware of this fact and carry out regular checks .

By this argument though surely any sensor of any type is not worth fitting because if it fails it won't sense what it is supposed to? I can't speak for any other than the Haydn LCA I have fitted, but there seems to be plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest that it is more worth fitting than not fitting.rita wrote:This is from the horses mouth.ADS

I think the ADS horse needs to explain what exactly the cause is of this reputed unreliability?

Thanks Bob. I guess what i'm trying to say is that a false positive is not the same as (and is much more tolerable than) a false negative. Still a nuisance though for those affected.
