Had a great day - even the summer weather didn`t bother us  couldn`t have picked a better place to watch the show from and with a great bunch of people - should make this an annual thing - roll on Winsford. P.s great piccies as usual.

Well we just got back and not one Bongo spotted. But what a superb day we had, and all thanks to Dabs - much respect. Wouldn't have known about the airshow if not for him. Sorry we didn't make it yesterday and join you guys, but at least we got there. We paid to go into the main viewing area and it was well worth it. Too much amazing stuff to bore you with here, but in addition to the aircraft, we found ourselves right at the fonrt of the crowd viewing two motorcylists going the 'ball of death' routine. Gobsmackingly scary and a guy from the next stand even volunteered to stand in the middle of the globe while the two bikes roared everywhere inside the ball, missing him by inches. Genuinely very dangerous

Anyway, a great day and the boys can't stop babbling about it. Will try and post pics though my equipment and my proficiency are well short of the Muzes and Rhod.

Thanks again Dabs. The Bongo network rules supreme

I was wondering about that ,do you think the glider pilot was meant to land on the beach right in front of us, he was good .

Awsome pictures!!! as usual we took the camera but it stayed firmly in DABS pocket - he never does get his hand in his pocket!! - id better run for cover now - :D :D - the noise was something else though when those jets went over - to say I was a nervous wreck was an understatement which didnt go un-noticed by DBO :D As we said we really must make sure we put a date in our diaries to do the same thing again next year!!
Thanks again everyone for a lovely day x

Hi, it's Rod here, Hotpot's better half. Just like to say thanks for such a great day. It was great to meet such open and friendly people. It's great to see that the tradition of the stern british upper lip of standing up and having a brew in the rain still survives! Nice photos everybody, we'll have to get together Muz and talk geek ;) Hope to see you all again soon.

Oh. Forgot to mention. The glider pilot (flying a Swift aerobatic glide) broke his own world record of 8 consecutive loops done yesterday by doing 11 consecutive rolls. Outstanding.

Also, we got the Vulcan today - yeeaaaaaaaaa

But the Red Arrows were the ones for me (although the battle scene was awesome - I could really feel the heat of the explosion from 100yds away where I was stood). The last time I saw them I wasn't a pilot. Now that I am (of sorts), I find their flying all the more breathtaking.

As an aside, when I flew at Oxford GC a couple of weeks back I flew in the clubs aerobatic 2 seater and we did a couple of axial rolls followed by a pretty full routine of other manoevres. Doing it well is something that takes great skill and practice. I wasn't doing the flying on that occasion - just hanging by my straps! :?

I wish we'd been able to come along, now I know there was someone to cower with - it's so embarrassing doing it on your own. Put me down for next years fun, but I'm not promising I won't chicken out.
