Hi guys Adam here. Mel's other half. I've got some bad news regarding next weekend's bash.
This is a copy of the email i've sent to jetskier as I think its only right to have let him know 1st as he's organised the weekend.
As i've recently qualified as a secondary school teacher and started this term in my new job, I'm still being assessed and need to pass all these observations and assessments to pass as a fully qualified teacher. I'm under Bury council, and as part of the training I have to go on a 2 day residential for all new teachers under Bury. I did think I could try and wangle my way out of this as its fallen on the same weekend as the bongo bash, but i've been told by my headteacher that I MUST attend this event as it is part of my training and assessment. They put you up in a hotel over the friday/sat night for all the new teachers and it's pretty much the main event as regards to the layout of the years training so i've got to attend!
I feel really bad about this as I know you have put a lot of time, effort and money into the planning of the bash and please let us know if we can cover any expenses that you've had to fork out. I know we sent u a cheque for the night, so cash that and let us know if we owe anymore.
I really sorry to be letting you and the North West crew down, but as you can imagine this event is so important for my teaching career.
I thought i'd let you know 1st then post on the main forum to let the others know.
Cheers. Adam.
I'm really sorry not to be attending and I know there's a lot of time and effort invested in the event, but its just unfortunate timing. I understand if you guys are disappointed in us, and I do feel we are letting a lot of people down, but there simply is no way around it. Sorry again, but I hope it doesn't spoil a great bash. We really are gutted as this was the highlight for us to look forward to after honeymoon and the stag night was sounding brill!
Adam.

I'm sure we'll all have lots of fun...but not quite the same without you guys. We will toast you both in your absence.
Hope to see you at another bash.

Awww, never mind. Sadly real life sometimes intrudes into Bongo land

Hope the residential weekend goes ok and you don't miss out on too much fun. I'll have a drink and toast your married life and new career.

Well, life throws all sorts of crap at us and we heve to grin and bare it.
