Hi Di,

We've to nip out on Sat to collect my two Girls, so I don't mind getting back to the site (at about 6pm) and not having 'leccy on Sat night.

Thats great but would you have an awning pitched up on Friday full of stuff? If not that would be great, but if so, I wouldn't want you moving everything.

Di - do you know what power hookup is available (10A, 16A etc), I'm sure one or two (including us) can get by with a split supply provided the site allow it

Muz. That could be an option if we had 2 light users as this has been suggested by the site. The non electric pitch is across the road from the hook ups so running a cable over there isnt permitted. The pitches are quite large and 2 bongo's could easily share a pitch and a hook up. This would work if we had 2 light users although only 1 awning is allowed per pitch as per the sites licence. So if anyone fits this criteria for this then the problem is solved.

By 'awning' I presume they mean a pukka enclosed one, not our pull-out type thing, in which case we could share with someone. I was toying with bringing our tunnel awning as we're there for more than one night but if necessary we can manage with our normal one and split leccy.

Thanks Muz. I'm not sure about the definition of awning but I know she said a gazebo is classed as an awning too. Not sure what a pull out canopy is classed as. :? This is where it gets complicated isn't it?

Hi Di,
If necessary also, I don't mind sharing hookup with somebody, was going to bring my khyam, but I can manage without.
Cheers,
Anne

You'll soon be regretting offering to organise this

A lot of sites don't allow gazebos at all as people often don't peg them down adequately and they then tend to disappear across the site, causing damage to cars & caravans. The fact that they do allow gazebos may indicate a more tolerant attitude than some other sites in that area

I'll not be there till about 8 on Fri, and the two of us can manage without turfing everything out. Sat I'll put the awning up, as I'll have the kids with me.

Thanks to everyone that offered one way or another with this, but Iain (stilldesperate) has solved the problem. Excellent. Me and Jamie will help you with the awning too Iain seeing as you've sorted this one.
Now all we need is everyone to turn up

If anyone fancies a walk with a view at the end of it,without having to drive first, you can head off the Hill of Oaks site at the North end cross the road [carefully as it can be a bit dodgy ] walk up the bank to the Parkcliff campsite, through the site and up the footpath to the top of the hill overlooking the site/lake.Theres a bar and restauraunt on the site so you can refuel afterwards. Its not a hard walk but it is uphill most of the way on the outward journey.
