The text for the Bongo Rapid fit does not match the pictures !
It says;

1. Connect Orange, Yellow, Black to negative supply

and

4. Connect Orange/Black, Yellow/Black and fused Red to positive supply

These instructions do not match the pictures.

I believe you should be connecting Orange, Orange/Black and Black to negative supply,
and Yellow, Yellow/Black and a fused Red to positive supply,
if you believe the pictures.

Yes that is correct!

I followed the diagram and the actuator was permanantly on.

So it should be Orange, Orange/Black and Black to negative supply,
and Yellow, Yellow/Black and a fused Red to positive supply.

RClick didn't come back to me at all and the diagrams really wern't much good so I wouldn't have been able to do it otherwise!

orange, orange/black and black do indeed go to negative and the yellow, yellow black and red go to a permanent live supply.

You will indeed... The actuator drives the existing manual factory system via a simple connecting rod, locking & unlocking by remote!

one last question!

Is it right that once the remote central locking is locked and the blue light flashes (the arming light that plugs into the brain) when you manually unlock the doors from the drivers door the system doesn't register this and the blue light continues to flash?

This could become annoying!

I have a different alarm CL system.. Generally (depending on the system) the blue flashing light should only flash when armed (locked) some blue (or red leds) light constantly if in valet mode?!!

Manually unlocking the door & opening while armed will (& rightly should!) trigger the alarm... It's an independent system that ties in with the factory manual locking...

thats exactly what mine does , as it has`nt recieved the command from the key fob

Been reading this thread with interest and absorbing all the excellent info . I have a Toad Ai606 alarm and immobiliser fitted to my Bongo. I am sure that I could use the brains of this alarm and the fob to control a central locking acctuator but I need to know if I would I need to buy the 2 or 5 wire version.

thats exactly what mine does , as it has`nt recieved the command from the key fob

This may have some bearing..? If your fob battery's are OK..? Some units can be taught the fob code, so if you lose one the brain box can be re-set, when you get a new fob, you teach it the code.. I had some similar problems a few months back with my alarm, thought it had something to do with the receiver..? (got the lcd fob that notifies me if the alarm gets triggered.) Anyway i just re-set & re-taught the fob code! Consult the instructions...

2 wire should do the job!

Thought I would delete the old one so it did not cause too much confusion
