When all is said and done, I don't think the price you paid is that bad for a specialist genuine part on an ageing Jap import. I did not pursue this angle.

i wont bother pursuing it as i dont need one (at the moment) , i was meerly trying to help & offer some alternatives! i'll spend my time more productively...varnishing the dog or something like that!!
