Bad luck Muz, I hope that you are ok for next weeks meet.

Leaving at about 12 noon, 3½hours trip for me if the roads are clear. Probably stop off at the Woolen Mill in Kilmahog just west of Callander for a cuppa and to say hello to Hamish the semi tame Highland Coo. Better make it 4hrs then.

Get well soon Paul.

Don't worry about the canoe relay, I'm sure we can sort something out later on. No hurry for it.

(Unless anyone else is going from down Paul's way to Glencoe?)

=D> Great weekend, company, craic, and site. Weather not too bad either, with only the odd shower or two. Forgot to take my camera, so the few photos I took were from a camera phone.....

Cheers for organising it Chrissy.

Thanks for the pics. Unfortunately our camera got broken on Friday night so we don't have any to add. It was good to meet you and the other Bongonauts and I'd also like to add my thanks to Chrissy for doing the organising.

Thanks to Chrissy for organising the meet and providing the tray bakes :D

I have some pics which I will post as soon as I get a chance. Would have done it last night but got home a little later than expected due to a road closure. Having been stuck in the roadworks at Fort William on Friday we decided to head back to Aberdeenshire via Crianlarich and Crieff only to find the road closed when we got to Crianlarich. We ended up being diverted all the way down the west side of Loch Lomond then back up the east side :(

Nice to see everybody again at the weekend, sorry we could not get there earlier, but my kids have a very hectic social life  had a good session climbing at the ice factor before also getting snarled up in the road closure :( At least for us it only added about 30miles to our journey). Thanks to Chrissy for organising the meet, and for reserving our 'private' parking spot. :D it would have been more than my lifes worth to have nicked the intrepid Tony's pitch.....(when he was off up the hills) but I would have liked to see the look on his face (if I was brave) Look forward to meeting up again.

All the best

David.

Ah! so lesson learned David.

I too got snarled up in Glasgows local traffic on the way home. Teach me to check on he road works before I leave home, but I doubt if it would have made any difference in this case.

Ta Chrissy for all the loverly homemade fudge. It really makes sitting around a smokey fire listening to you horrible lot bearable.

Oh! and for organizing the whole shinbag in the first place. The rest of us are just too lazy.

Glad all had a good time!

For info, the road was closed at LiX toll from 11am-7pm following a collision between a Ford Fiesta and a campervan, in which the 19 year old Fiesta driver died.

Hi

We had a great time as did the kids. It was great to meet you all, hope to see you again sometime.

We also got snarled up in the traffic and had to return to Falkirk by the Glasgow road instead of the A85. Sad to hear someone died, thought it wouldn't be good news though when we found out the road was closed.

Great weekend! Glad to see old faces and new.

We've just had a stir-fry for lunch - now the house smells of campfire (used the wok).

Have returned the tent (wet) to Khyam after several seams came undone over the weekend. We'll see what happens...

Thoroughly enjoyed walking the ridge with Donald2, though my legs were quite tired on the pedalo on Loch Lomond on the way home!

See you all soon.
Matt.
